Mozambique; described as “Africa’s undiscovered jewel”, is a stunning beach orientated country is recognised for its fantastic diving and relaxed ambience. Mozambique is made up mainly of coastal lowlands, rising toward the west.

The sun-drenched beaches and azure waters offer visitors both relaxation and various activities. Mozambique offers a wealth of treasures along its coastline. It has many idyllic beaches and many unspoiled reefs for scuba divers and snorklers to explore. Mozambique's marine life and wildlife is unrivalled. Other available activities such as kite surfing and deep sea fishing are very poplar and many of the lodges organise dolphin and whale watching trips.

Not only are the beaches prolific, but many of the large cities have untold history. The Bazaruto Archipelago is definitely worth a visit, and is only a short boat ride from Vilanculos to get to some of the closer islands. For the slightly further islands flying in would be more advisable. The archipelago lies right in the middle of a marine park, which give the archipelago an untouched look and feel.

A holiday in Mozambique provides a wonderful extension to a safari in any of the neighbouring countries. It is very easy to fly in directly from game parks beach with connecting flights from safari straight to Mozambique.
